Yesterday I attended the launch of the new Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Lipstick range. Make Up For Ever is a brand that I love, I think it is so unique and fun and innovative in terms of artistry and colour, and when I think of makeup professionals, I think of Make Up For Ever. I do own quite a few MUFE products, and I LOVE lip products, but I have never actually tried out any of their range, because I was never genuinely drawn to them. You hear more about their HD range than anything else, and so I was quite overwhelmed to see just how amazing their new lipstick range actually was.
This collection is amazing. The Rouge Artist range offers 100 new lipsticks, 50 of which are 'Rouge Intense', the other 50 entitled 'Rouge Natural'. The intense shades are extremely pigmented with amazing longevity and come in three different finishes; Matte, Pearl and Satin. The shade range is amazing, varying from nudes, beiges, browns, corals, warm pinks, fresh pinks, reds, burgundy, to the 'Forever' colours which include deep purples, gold and even black. Black! The natural range on the other hand is quite sheer in texture, and is all about shades with sensational translucent shine. The Natural range is on the border between lipstick and lip care, as it stays pigmented but also delivers an amazing 8 hour hydration to the lips. The Natural range also comes in three finishes; Satin, Iridescent or Diamond, with an equally impressive shade range varying from praline pinks to plum and everything in between. I really like the idea of the Intense and Natural Rouge Artist range because they both deliver on pigmentation without compromising on duribility or resistance.
The lovely Julie, Leanne and I all got to try out some of the lipstick range applied by the amazing David Arbid who is MUFE's International Pro Trainer. We also got to meet with Annie Gribbin, the face of MUFE Ireland, who runs the flagship store in Dublin. Annie was trained by Dany Sanz, the creator of MUFE, and it was so refreshing to listen to her ideas for upcoming charity campaigns, as she is so passionate about the brand, and about makeup. It made me so excited to try out some of the shades, and David matched me to a bright pink, topped with a kind of metallic bronze gloss. He said the lipstick accented the jacket I wore and the gloss echoed the metallic bronze in my watch! Talk about an eye for detail! I was so happy with the result because I would have never thought to pair those particular colours together. It just shows you how creative you can be with colour. As he was applying, he gave me some tips about lipcare, and we had a general chitchat about the range of colours in the new collection. I was so surprised to find that this lipstick lasted ALL day, and couldn't wait to try out the little samples we recieved when I got home. I recieved a mini version of both a Rouge Intense and Rouge Natural, and a Lab Shine gloss. Isn't the gloss the most AMAZING colour?! I tried out the pale natural lipstick and topped it with the gloss, and my god, I don't think I have ever loved a colour combo so much! I am actually making it my business to put these lipsticks on my current lust list, I think I have found a new love.
Make Up For Ever are also launching their new Irish website where you can shop online for amazing MUFE products from the comfort of your bum. Amazing!
I will most definitely be nipping in to purchase some of the new lipstick range, which retail at €19.
