Product Rave: MAC's Blush Ombre in Ripe Peach

Hello lovelies :)
So Im a bit behind on the Blush Ombre bandwagon, but I adore this blush so much I thought it deserved its own blog post.

First of all, I am absolutely in LOVE with the colour.
Now peach mightn't be a suitable colour for everyone, but I do indeed have no qualms in making this beautiful peach blush work for my skin tone.
It is nearly summer after all, and when I think of summer I think of cool corals and peach tones. I said goodbye to the English rose cheeks when the frosty Winter months ended.
This blush came out with the Spring Colour Forcast Collection from MAC, and this blush in particular has probably been the most popular, as it has been sold out everywhere I have looked.

The is a gorgeous gradient blush that transforms from a peach tone to a hot pink in the same pot, so you can choose to mix the colours, or use each separately.
I LOVE THIS BLUSH! :D

It is very pigmented, so even the slightest swipe of my 168 brush on the surface of this blush is enough product to apply to both apples of my cheeks.
I then buff from the inner corner of my eye out towards my ear with a Kabuki to blend the harshness, et voila! Perky peachy cheeks in a flash :)
It brightens up my entire face, and lasts all day.

Fantastique :)

Satsuma Eyes

So today I felt a surge of innovation and creativity wash over me, and whilst procrastinating from doing a college assignment due for monday, I whipped out the ol makeup and had a fiddle.

I was inspired by the sunshine today! Oh so bright and cheerful! And since I was stuck indoors I thought i'd bring the sun to me. On my lids!

Today's look is comprised of orange, blue and black, sounds a bit monsterish and halloweeny, but I kid you not, I am well over Autumn. Orange and blue are contrasting colours dontcha know :P

Here are the colours I used:

From L-R: Urban Decay e/s in Zero, MAC e/s in Pompous Blue, and MAC e/s in Rule.

And because Rule wasn't really showing up against my wooden floor, here it is against my froggy pjs so you can see how vibrant it really is :)

Hope youre all having a lovely weekend!

March Ins and Outs

Hello lovelies :D
Riiiiighty so I know its already April blah blah BLAH!
I need to keep upto date with these thingys! Heres the lowdown :

INS

Beauty

  • Body Butters - Keeping my dry sensitive skin smooth and nourished. Im loving Avon's Banana and Coconut Body Lotion at the moment; its so tropical and when I put it on I get the scent of summer!
  • Scrub scrub scrub! - I've been taking extra care of skin as of late, and obviously its not good to use a gazillion harsh products on your skin, but I keep packin em on to make sure my skin is clean! Im loving removing my makeup with Johnsons Baby Lotion, it smells so sweet and soothing! Then I wash my face with Neutrogena's 3 in 1 Wash & Mask. This is an amazing product. I then use an oil free moisturiser, i like using a light Nivea one for the day and a good Olay night cream for night!
  • Water ! - I've really been trying to drink as much water as I can; 2Litres a day! Its really important to drink as much as you can to get rid of toxins from the body and keep skin clear!
  • Mixing my foundation with a very light tinted moisturiser: This routine is ample for when I want to use the foundations I have in my collection that are slightly darker than my skintone. This step lightens up the product, and it allows the foundation to be applied so smoothly and evenly.

Fashion

  • Giant pearls. If you saw my recent Fashion Haul video on Youtube Here you'd know that I purchased a giant pearl necklace from Primark. Its such a statement necklace, and I love pearls, so I've been finding every excuse to wear them.
  • Florals and Lace - I have a few dresses in my wardrobe en ce moment that have lace detailing around the shoulders and a floral pattern on the remainder on the dress. Spring is here and they make me feel pretty!
  • Pastel Belts - I have been wearing these with everything. They are adorable.

OUTS

Beauty

  • Dry lips - I have recently realised that alot of my lipsticks are making my lips dry and horrible! So i've been whipping out the Carmex quite a bit. God bless you Carmex.
  • Shedding Makeup Brushes - This is absolutely horrible. I can't take it anymore! Peeling shed hairs off my face and décolletage is not my cup of tea.
  • Having a wishlist as big as my arm - it keeps growing! Someone help me stop this madness!

Fashion

  • Nautical Trends - Hasn't this trend been around for ages?! Im not feeling it this summer. I don't really like boats too much anyway.
  • Heels that are too big - Pink Patent heels: I love you so much, you are so pretty! But I cannot wear you on a night out! No matter what I do, insoles, heelgrips, the lot! You still slip off me! :(
  • Scarves - I used to have scarves in every colour, now I find myself feeling self conscious when I wear them as it makes me feel like I have no neck. Does this happen to anyone else?!

Hope youre all having a lovely week! :) x

Art Supplies Collection from MAC

So ladies, I have been waiting patiently for weeks now for this collection to come out, and I have been so excited about it!
Its the new Art Supplies collection from MAC, and the products just sound to die for!

The Greasepaint Stick returns and also the Pearlglide eyeliner makes its appearance, in a variety of desirable and deplorable shades.
Unfortunately there are no shadows or lipsticks available in the collection, but the one thing that has certainly caught my eye is the lipstain, MACs answer to Benefits Benetint.

This product encapsulates this collection in a nutshell, and MAC describes it as "A lightweight lip stain featuring the look and delivery of a colour marker."
Doesn't get more arty than that.

This lip stain come in a selection of pretty pinks and reds, and frankly I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner shades:
